As an alumnus of a prestigious institution, I have always felt a sense of pride in my alma mater. However, recent events have led me to question the values and principles that this institution stands for.
In a recent article published in The Atlantic, it was revealed that my alma mater has been neglecting its duty to promote diversity and inclusivity in its curriculum. As someone who has benefited greatly from the education I received at this institution, I find it disheartening to hear that it is failing to provide a truly inclusive learning environment for all students.
One of the key issues highlighted in the article is the lack of representation of diverse voices in the anime, manga, cinema, comics, and technology courses offered at the institution. These forms of media play a significant role in shaping our cultural landscape, and it is important that students are exposed to a wide range of perspectives and experiences.
As a proud alumnus, I am calling on my alma mater to reevaluate its curriculum and make a concerted effort to include a more diverse range of voices in its course offerings.
